First Aid Training, Advice & App

Both St John Ambulance and the British Red Cross are excellent sources for first aid training. Securitycheck.uk thinks St John Ambulance's is so good and to the point that most of its main menu first aid subject items even point straight to SJA pages.

KNOWING what to do in a first aid situation can make a huge, some times life-changing difference. After formal first aid training, the next best things is to have a good round knowledge of the key techniques. After that, at least some prior knowledge, and then, a long way behind this, an understanding of where to access such knowledge quickly in a time of immediate need.

If you manage an organisation you are likely to require first aid cover. If so, have you enough to cover staff holidays, business trips and unforeseen staff absences?

If you have good first aid training, you can also make an very useful contribution to society.

Fist aid skills may be called upon at any time. Beyond the formal training offered by the above and the basic advice presented here on security check, Saint John ambulance offers some very useful resources here, including dedicated advice pages, posters and even a free mobile phone app.
